Seek A Story is a free book recommendation service. You describe what you feel like reading, and we return a small number of books drawn from our own catalogue index, each with a short explanation of why it matches your request. A third-party AI service provider is used to interpret your request and to write those explanations. The Service is funded in part by affiliate links to Amazon. Results are suggestions, not a catalogue of everything available.
You must be at least 15 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content may be subject to intellectual property rights. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service without authorization.

The book titles, author names, and other bibliographic data in our catalogue index come from public library data sources. Cover images are served by third parties and remain the property of their rights holders; we display them to help you identify a book, and we neither host them nor claim any rights in them. If you are a rights holder and would like an image removed, contact us at the address in section 14.
Recommendations, and the explanations shown alongside them, are produced automatically and in part by AI. They may be wrong. A book may be mis-described, out of print, or simply a poor fit for what you asked. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any recommendation, and you should check details with the retailer or publisher before buying.
We use PostHog, an analytics provider hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site is used and to receive automatic reports when something breaks. In practice:
Your search text is sent to a third-party AI service provider so that it can be interpreted and matched against our catalogue. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in a search. We do not store your searches ourselves, and we do not link them to the analytics identifier described above; our AI service provider may retain them briefly for abuse monitoring under its own terms.
